Check Up & Cleans
Going for a regular check-up and cleaning is beneficial, not just to your oral health but to your overall health. Regular dental check-ups are proven to enhance your smile and appearance. It also boosts self-confidence and self-esteem. However, it is understandable that it can be a nervous experience but we are here to tell you that this is completely natural. A dentist doesn’t expect your teeth to be crystal perfect immediately.
Our team at Smile Collective includes highly skilled dentists, hygienists, and helpful staff who are determined to ensure that you receive the highest level of dental care in a warm and welcoming environment.
Let's Consult !
We always treat our patients like family. As we chat one-on-one, we’ll get to know you, discuss your oral health goals and see how we can help.
First, we’ll take a full-mouth OPG X-ray to assess your mouth and surrounding structures, including your jaws and wisdom teeth. A pair of bitewing X-rays will allow us to diagnose decay between teeth.
Next, Dr. Rand will perform an intraoral and extraoral assessment, checking for things like
- Jaw pain
- Muscle disorders
- Oral cancer
- Periodontal disease
- Tooth decay
We’ll also take several photographs of your face, mouth and teeth for consultation purposes and a complimentary smile assessment.
Benefits of Check Up & Cleans:

Frequently Asked Questions
When general dentistry checkups are skipped, the patient is more likely to overlook a cavity. Oftentimes, only a general dentist can notice the cavity, whether it be small or just challenging to diagnose. Patients will not necessarily not cavities without these appointments, but if they do have one and they are not able to detect it in time, the teeth and gums may suffer.
During a general checkup appointment, the dentist will examine the teeth and gums to inspect for any abnormalities. X-rays may be taken once a year to check for any inner problems that are not observable to the naked eye. Additionally, the general dentist will present the patient with recommendations on specific things to help enhance oral and dental health.
It is suggested that a dental cleaning be done at least twice a year or every 6 months. Nevertheless, in some cases, it may be recommended to get cleanings on a more regular basis, such as 4 times a year or every 3 months. Individuals who are inclined to cavities or gum disease may require or want to go to frequent dental cleanings as a preventive measure.
